About The Egyptian Cafe

Authentic Egyptian Experience in Gainesville Florida

The Egyptian Cafe is a cafe in Gainesville, Florida. It is listed at 21 SE 2nd Pl, Gainesville, FL 32601, which places it among the local businesses of Gainesville that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 amโ€“12 am. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (352) 451-4386. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is theegyptiancafe.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 120 reviews, which is a strong result for a cafe in Gainesville and suggests consistent service.

Absolutely amazing experience at The Egyptian Cafe! The food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and full of flavor, and the hookah was excellent as well. The service made our visit even more special. Madison took great care of usโ€”she was extremely kind, patient, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire evening. My wife and I truly loved this place and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, quality hookah, and outstanding service in Gainesville!

Went here with one of my friends for dinner and it was a wonderful experience. Itโ€™s beautifully decorated and has comfortable seating. Our server was very hospitable and attentive. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. I am unable to eat gluten and there were plenty of options on the menu to accommodate me. Our server also made sure our hookah was working perfectly. We went with the Harvest Moon at her suggestion and it was so smooth. Iโ€™d highly recommend Egyptian Cafe to anyone looking for a yummy food and a fun night out.

Amazing spot to check out and chill in downtown Gainesville. Original Egyptian decor with furniture, spacious with wide windows for people watch. The food menu is simple but mighty with few authentic Egyptian dishes that must try. Kushari dish was delicious and fresh. Um Ali dessert was stunning and fresh. I wish the owners to include the popular ( mulukheya ู…ู„ุฎูŠุฉ) dish in the future which will add to the authenticity of the place Honka was good also Definitely a must go place

We came on a Friday afternoon and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Some patrons were watching the World Cup. The dining room was well decorated and comfortable. We got Mezza Platter, which is their appetizer sampler. It was amazing - especially the falafel. We were cautious to visit because of hookah, but it was not an issue and not bothersome to the senses.
